This will revitalize and transform the economy for the well-being of all Liberians and particularly address the persistent and serious disparities between urban and rural areas in terms of access to basic services including water, energy, and road infrastructure as well as addressing existing inequalities, and disparities and injustices in access to socio-economic infrastructure. The model aligns with international development norms of aiming to keep people out of poverty through a multi-dimensional approach. It will help unleash further opportunities to strengthen national capacities, promote south-south cooperation, and more importantly, improve the conditions of the people in poor communities.

The position of the project associate will provide administrative and financial support to the ACDP Project Manager in project management and implementation.

Scope of Work  The ACDP – Project Associate directly performs tasks in all aspects of the project life cycle. S/He supports all the technical, strategic, and leadership functions of strategic planning, budget planning, budget revision management, and administration. He/she will promote a client-oriented approach consistent with UNDP rules and regulations. The Programme Associate works in close collaboration with the Operations, and the ACDP Project Team in the Country Office for resolving complex project-related issues and information delivery.   Duties and Responsibilities

Summary of Key Functions:

The ACDP project Associate will among others be responsible for providing:

Support administrative and logistical services Support in partnership building Organize meetings and events Facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharingAdminister and implement project components, such as:

Assume overall responsibility for the monitoring of financial resources and accounting to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial reports; Contribute to the preparation of Project Work Plans and support the Project Manager by monitoring budgets, cash flow, and reporting on expense obligations to ensure that deliverables are met; Notify the Project Manager of any deviations from the plan and update the plans; Support the preparation of regular updates on project results, implementation issues, and emerging risks/problems and propose necessary remedial actions; Support in drafting terms of reference for consultants, goods, and services Support in the managing project budget and finances; Prepare regular project financial reports for internal and external distribution; Support in managing project finances in UNDP Financial system Atlas (e.g. preparation of e-requisitions, PO and non-PO vouchers, corrective actions on vouchers, etc.); Assist in project procurement processes. Provide inputs for the UNDP procurement plan; Presentation of information for audit of the project; Establish and maintain a system of financial transactions and record-keeping.Support the following logistics and administrative activities:

Arranging for travel and accommodation, preparation of travel authorizations, filing of information for DSA payments, and processing requests for visas, ID cards, and other documents; Assist team members, experts, and consultants on travel and logistics matters; Asset management and maintenance for the projects under the portfolio, including computer equipment, furniture, and office equipment and vehicles: this will include taking lead responsibility for establishing and maintaining an inventory, and the co-ordination of regular maintenance (and associated record-keeping) of assets, including vehicle registration, insurance, and maintenance; Compile data for project management; Draft correspondence on project issues, as required; Prepare official correspondence; Establish and maintain a filing system, incoming and outgoing correspondence, etc.Knowledge building and knowledge sharing:

Ensures facilitation of knowledge building and knowledge sharing in the CO focusing on achievement of the following results:

Systematic gaining and sharing of knowledge and experience related to project management. Organization of training for the office staff on program/operations-related issues.
