Logistician, Development of a CLA Approach to Advance Gender-Inclusive Development (GID) Integration in RDMA Programs At Social Impact

Social Impact is a global development management consulting firm. We provide monitoring, evaluation, strategic planning, and capacity building services to advance development effectiveness. We work across all development sectors including democracy and governance, health and education, the environment, and economic growth. Since 1997 we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.

Project Objective:

Under Task Order 46 of the Asia Learning Monitoring and Evaluation (ALME) program, the USAID Regional Development Mission for Asia (RDMA) has requested Social Impact to develop a Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) approach to advance Gender and Inclusive Development (GID) integration across programs under four operating units (regional, Thailand, China, and ASEAN) managed by RDMA. This project will be comprised of three distinct tasks:

  • Task I: GID Integration Capacity Assessment. Social Impact will design and conduct a rapid capacity assessment among RDMA’s technical and support offices’ staff, analyze the data, and develop a concise assessment brief.
  • Task II: GID Integration Assessment. Social Impact will design and implement a rapid assessment on appropriateness of gender and inclusive development action plans of current activities that were developed by the Mission’s implementing partners (IPs), as well as the appropriateness of the implementation and measurements of the GID Action Plans (GIDAP).
  • Task III: USAID/RDMA’s CLA Approach Development to Strengthen GID Integration. Based on results from Task I and Task II, the Contractor will design, organize, and facilitate a workshop among relevant Mission’s staff (as well as those of the IPs as deemed necessary) to both increase understanding of the outputs, progress, challenges, successes, and lessons learned on GID integration as well as jointly develop a roadmap/action plan to further advance GID integration and its measurement to all the Mission’s activities.
