EM2030 HR Transition Consultancy At Equal Measures 2030

EM2030 is entering an exciting new phase of growth and is shifting from its current arrangement as a hosted initiative of Plan International to becoming a fiscally sponsored project of a US-based 501c3 organisation. As part of this, it will be planning for a smooth transition of its people from their current employment arrangement with Plan International to the new fiscal sponsor arrangement.
To guide our initial thinking and planning for this transition, we are seeking the services of an expert HR consultant, who understands our Anti-Oppression and Feminist values and principles, who has experience with start up/transitional organisations in the international development sector and with globally-dispersed remote teams.

Scope of the Work

  • Initial guidance about ensuring our HR policies and practices align with our Feminist and Anti-Racism values and principles during the immediate transition and period immediately thereafter
  • Scoping and mapping out key HR issues, timing, processes and policies required in order to prepare for a transition from current hosting arrangement to a fiscal sponsor and developing an HR workplan for the six-month period pre-, during- and post-transition
  • Identifying the minimum set of HR policies and practices that need to be in place at the time of transition and a phased workplan for when and how to put in place policies and procedures over the first six months of the new hosting arrangement
  • Initial guidance and frameworks on how to ensure equity in pay and benefits for our globally-based remote team, both for existing employees (mindful that we will grandparent existing total compensation for existing employees) and for new employees who will be recruited soon after the transition
  • To be available to consult with EM2030 management, Plan International, and the fiscal sponsor HR resources as needed through the transition process

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated HR experience in the international development sector
  • Demonstrated experience supporting start up non-profit organisations and with globally-dispersed remote teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in Anti-Oppression, Feminist approaches to HR, and in guiding small organisations in diversity, equity and inclusion efforts

Budget

  • 12-20 days between early February and end of May 2022 (with concentration in late February and throughout March).
