Here’s where you come in:

As Chief of Party, you will provide overall strategic direction in the design, management, implementation and overall quality assurance of the project. You will be World Vision’s primary point of contact with all relevant stakeholders. You will collaborate with MINEDUC, REB and other critical partners to provide high-level support for effective delivery and sustainability of the project interventions. You will oversee a team of experts and support staff, prepare reports and annual operating plans, align project initiatives with in-country priorities, and ensure the program’s compliance with USAID and World Vision regulations. The project must be designed to align closely with the current objectives of the Government of Rwanda so that activities are complementary and create sustainability. You will be based in Kigali, reporting to the National Director.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in Education or any other relevant field.
  • Experience in managing grant-funded projects
  • Experience in inclusive education programming with preferred experience in deaf education or sign language development activities, which may include teaching and learning material development, assessments, teacher professional development, and systems reform.
  • Clear familiarity with core topics around the inclusion of students with disabilities, especially Universal Design for Learning and behavior change.
  • Demonstrated outstanding leadership, effective organizational development, partnership-building, managerial, team-building, and communications skills
  • Experience working in close partnership with government counterparts, international development agencies, non-governmental organizations, and other collaborators/stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with the education system in Rwanda.
