Short-term Consultancy: Review a Training Curriculum on Disability inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction At CBM


We are looking for an experienced consultant to support the development and review process of a Disability inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction training curriculum.

The training is currently being developed. The objective of the consultancy is to

  • Advise the team regarding any technical questions
  • Ensure CRPD compliance of the training packages
  • Advise on accessibility of the training packages
  • Review drafts of the training packages
  • Final review

The training curriculum is currently already being developed, and will be finalised by June 2022. For now, we are planning with 15-20 days for this short term consultancy but there is some flexibility.

We are looking for the following profile:

  • Academic degree preferably in the area of disability rights
  • Substantial experience advising on disability inclusion
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Working independently and pro-actively seeking information, while remaining culturally sensitiv

Only complete applications will be considered. The contractor may ask for references and/or examples of previous work and reports during the recruitment process. The contractor reserves the right to terminate the contract in case the suggested and agreed upon team members are unavailable at the start of the evaluation and no adequate replacement can be provided.

The consultant will need to fully comply with and sign CBM’s or the partner organisation’s Code of Conduct and Child Safeguarding Policy as well as commitment to data security.
