Knowledge Architecture Lead At Oxfam

Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for a Knowledge Architecture Lead. This role will lead on the design, evolution, and functioning of Oxfam’s knowledge network: the ecosystem of communities of practice, knowledge hubs, working groups, practitioner networks, learning labs, and more that bring Oxfam staff and partners together to co-create solutions. The job holder will lead on helping Oxfam run and evolve its knowledge network; set up and implement learning and evidence agendas; and use the most appropriate knowledge management and sharing practices.

Please see the job description for further details.

Who we’re looking for

Do you believe knowledge is created when people exchange and collaborate in groups? Do you enjoy helping communities and networks apply knowledge to co-create solutions? This role may be for you!

We look forward to hearing from creative Knowledge & Learning professionals who possess high self-awareness and attention to relationship building; who can engage with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and perspectives; who are proficient at facilitating collective thinking and decision making; and who can work with agility in contexts of ambiguity and complexity.

This role is NOT for creating IT platforms or developing ICT4D tools. It does NOT architect IT solutions. This role is about helping Oxfam figure out its ecosystem of communities of practice, knowledge hubs, working groups, practitioner networks, learning labs and more, so that it supports the strategic intent of the organization through the generation and sharing of knowledge.

What we offer

This role will give you an opportunity to lead and shape how Oxfam and partners generate, package, curate, share, and use knowledge and knowledge products. This is an exciting opportunity to think and act with others to set up a vibrant and impactful knowledge network linked with the strategic ambition of Oxfam. As a leader in Oxfam’s knowledge and learning space, you will have the ability to guide the organization’s practice but also challenge it and experiment with new solutions. Understanding context and experience working in diverse, multi-cultural and multi-locational settings are key for success in this position. At Oxfam, we believe that every aspect of our work can lead to a positive outcome. If you have the same opinion, together with the ability to meet the challenges involved, this role offers scope for immense personal fulfilment – as well as outstanding opportunities to develop your career. Oxfam is committed to providing a fair compensation package and a flexible working environment.
